Fall Love - a poem

So a few months ago i broke up with the gf, after 2 1/2 years. It was an interesting ride from start to finish. I had never been in such a tumultuous relationship, ever in my life. It had been raining, cloudy gray and just overall dark for about three days in a row here in normally sunny San Clemente. I was once again struggling with the break up, questioning the past. You should never question the past, simply learn from it and move on. But of course, my mind holds on to many things, good and bad. I'm all good now. After all it was the Dani show for those 2 1/2 years, I simply went along for the ride until I had to get off. I gave her love, support, freedom and care and I watched her metamorphosis right in front of me into who she is today. Mind you I was not perfect and said some horrible things one should never say. Whoops. My bad. It was great to have love and then lost it, that happens but at least I lived thru the experience. So, the other day when it was still raining and overall just gloomy I had this inside my head so I put it to paper.

Fall Love
pitter patter, pitter patter goes the rains dancing feet
it was scandalous how you and I should meet
we feel in love with a rush and a sweep
of caution to the wind and anything goes
two and a half years of playful times and little woes
with a crack and a boom
the night sky illuminated with an evil doom
it seems the love we once had had turned to rust
there was no passion, there was no lust
as soon as it had began it came to an end
if i think too much about it my heart still weeps
pitter patter, pitter patter goes the rains dancing feet
